The Growing DroodleBug...

When I first became a mother, I had no idea what to expect. I definitely didn't expect the little one to grow so fast!! She is learning new things each and everyday. Just this past week she has learned to roll from her back to her belly, sit up by herself, and stick her tongue out. I was floored by her progress, as I am not able to spend as much time with Little Miss Caydence as I would like to.

Working nights, I leave for work around 6:30 pm and get home just before 4:30, then my amazing hubby lets me sleep in until Noonish. I feel like I miss out on so much in Caydence's life, but her and Jon get a lot of time together and are very close. I love to watch them together. Jon is learning everyday as I am, probably more. He is the one with all the tricks to get her to sleep and like her bath. But I am the pro with the solid food. Jon is just not patient enough. He gets mad when she spits out her food. :) I never thought anyone would call me patient with anything. I am probably the most impatient person I know.

I am slowly growing more organized and learning how to organize my hectic schedule. My goal for this month is to have a weakly meal plan in place by the end of February. I have found many great examples and even recipes and grocery lists on the evil, time wasting site known as Pinterest. Just kidding I have much love for Pinterest, but my husband does not. He says I need to delete the app off my phone.

These are all from the past month... I just can't see how she could grow this much.

In other news, our little collie Sadie is preggo, Yes, Boomer (our Australian Shepherd) is the daddy. She is due in the next couple of weeks and we are looking forward to it Jon is looking forward to it. I am super afraid I am going to grow attached and then have a ton a puppies I don't want to sell. We will have to see. :)  She looks SOOO miserable. Poor Pup.

I guess I better get going. I need to call my dad and wish him a happy birthday! Later!

Post numero Uno...

Okay so I have tried these blog things before but haven't been able to keep up with them... So I am thinking maybe this time is the charm? Well we will see.  As you can see I picked Butterflies and 4wheelers as the title of our blog. Well that is definitely a short introduction to our family. Jon and I have a little girl named Caydence, hence the girly butterflies. But our favorite thing to do is go four wheeling and all I can do is hope that Caydence will one day enjoy it too. Jon is already planning on buying her a pink four wheeler and is super excited about it. He is the best with her. She's only 5 months old and already they have a bond that is amazing to watch. He is planning camping outings and trips with her and told me I get to stay home. I love hearing him talk about his baby girl.

Little Miss Caydence, as we call her in this household, is definitely our pride and joy. I get pictures every night at work from Jon so that I don't miss anything. She rolled over from back to belly this past week, and from belly to back on January 3rd. My favorite thing to do with her is cuddle. She is such a cuddle bug and is very content to sit and watch. I think she learns quite well that way. She is almost sitting up completely by herself. She can sit for up to 10 seconds or so but then TIMBER! I am loving every minute of motherhood and cannot wait to learn as I go.

As you can see, Little Miss Caydence is blonde (where she got that, I'm not so sure) and blue eyed (also neither Jon nor I have blue eyes). She absolutely loves her cereal and likes to help feed herself. Most of the time her cereal ends up in her eyes when she "helps." She is an amazing little girl and I am excited to watch her grow and teach her new things.

There's a snippit of  my little family. I have yet to talk about our 2 wonderful smart dogs, more on the husband and myself to come later. I have decided that one thing I want to do with my blog is set goals and accomplish them. Maybe if I write them out in the open for everyone to see it will happen. But that is another story for tomorrow.
